From Vision to Fruition

Updated: Apr 24, 2020

Reproduce out of the vision you set before yourself.

The Eyes are the Window to the Soul

"Without vision the people perish" (Prov. 29:11).

the NIV says “without revelation, the people cast off restraint (loose control of their emotions or behavior). A vision is a divine revelation, a prophetic vision from God.

We all need vision for our lives. Every company, every church has a vision and a mission statement. What their goal is and how they will get there. However, if there is no vision, people will walk aimlessly without hope because there is no end to their quest.

Vision is the power that sustains us during every difficult season of our lives.

In Exodus 32 we see that when Moses went to Mt. Sinai to talk to God, the Israelites were getting restless and asked Aaron to build a calf for them so they could worship it. Their leader was not among them, so they became discouraged and ran wild, without control. They were able to see the calf. The Bible says that 3000 people died that day because of their sin.

The beautiful thing is that now, we do not need to see anything because we walk by faith, not by sight (2 Cor. 5:7). However, we do need to have a revelation, a goal before us. As Christians we are called to be a people of vision.

“Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet, but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus (Phil. 3:13-15-NKJV).

Whatever you put before you will be that which leads you. And whatever you follow, that you will reproduce. In other words, all things bear fruit of their own kind, therefore, whatever you deposit in you, that you will bear fruit. The eyes are the window to the soul, which your heart is part of; and out of the abundance of your heart, your mouth will declare (Mat. 12:34). Life and death are in the power of the tongue (Prov. 18:21), what you speak out, that you will produce.

“The eye is the lamp of the body. You draw light into your body through your eyes, and light shines out to the world through your eyes. So, if your eye is well and shows you what is true, then your whole body will be filled with light. But if your eye is clouded or evil, then your body will be filled with evil and dark clouds”(Matthew 6:22-23- The Voice).

In Genesis 30, Jacob speaks to Laban, his father-in-law and decides to separate to start his own household. He tells Laban that he would only take the speckled and spotted goats and the brown lambs. Laban agreed as he took away all those goats and lambs so that they would not reproduce more of the same hoping Jacob would relent from leaving. Jacob then came up with a plan to reproduce speckled and spotted goats and brown lambs,

“Now Jacob took for himself rods of green poplar and of the almond and chestnut trees, peeled white strips in them, and exposed the white which was in the rods. And the rods which he had peeled, he set before the flocks in the gutters, in the watering troughs where the flocks came to drink, so that they should conceive when they came to drink.  So, the flocks conceived before the rods, and the flocks brought forth streaked, speckled, and spotted”(Gen.30:37-39- NKJV).

The goats reproduced out of the vision which was before them.

I encourage you to place before you that which you desire to produce within you; if the character and heart of Jesus, then desperately seek Him with all of your heart, might, and life. Place the Bible before your eyes daily and look up at all that Your Heavenly Father has done for you. READ, STUDY, ACT UPON THE WORD OF GOD which you have received through the Scriptures and prophetic words. Avoid placing movies and shows before your eyes that portray scenes which go against all that God stands for: holiness, righteousness, peace, love, joy, self-control, etc.

See with your eyes the goodness of God that leads us to repentance!

I realized this past summer how VISION can be an answer to the desires of someone's heart. This was through a testimony of someone in my church that stays in Word daily and has a zealous attitude of being closer with God.. She shared with me , that upon meditating on Genesis 15:17......she had a full blown color vision one day...where God showed her Jesus on the cross sweating...... as the sun was setting and going down and positioned between the two men on either side of Him that were bleeding. If you look at the passage in certain bibles--it goes into depth about animal sacrifices and when they did them --they had to pass the "fire" between tw…
